Hans Werner Henze (1926-) is one of the greatest living composers of our time. His Requiem from 1990/92 will be performed by BIT20 Ensemble and students from the Grieg Academy. Friday 14 October.

Students from the Grieg Academy perform together with professional musicians
in BIT20 Ensemble. BIT20's Artistic Director Baldur Brönnimann had two important
reasons to initiate the project: The audience in Bergen should be presented with
such a strong and important musical work from recent decades - and a specialized
contemporary music ensemble as BIT20 should create stronger ripple effects in
its own city, by sharing its competence and experience to a new generation of
musicians. The professional musicians and the students become equal colleagues
on the stage, but the students will draw useful experience from the musicians
during the practice sessions.
